CONSERVATION
saves money and energy
Consider this, most of the energy we use comes from fossil fuels like petroleum and coal that provide electricity and gas to power our growing energy needs. These resources are non-renewable which means that we will eventually run out. Conserving energy not only helps to conserve those resources but also translates into financial savings. By placing special emphasis on eco-friendly building materials and products and by building energy efficient homes we are helping our homeowners save energy, money and not to mention, the earth’s atmosphere. We offer several energy savings packages that you may choose from that not only guarantee that you will save money on your monthly energy bills, but all are certified to conserve energy wherever possible.
Energy Saving Features
High Efficiency Heating and Cooling Equipment
13 Seer units combined with 80% efficient gas furnaces and programmable thermostats create our high performance system.
Energy Efficient Applicances
Whirlpool Corporation has been an ENERGY STAR Partner since 1998, having received ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for seven of those years. Whirlpool offers a full line of appliances created specifically for ENERGY STAR. Your True Home comes standard with an ENERGY STAR dishwasher.
High Performance Windows
Our Low E glass windows are coated with two microscopically thin metallic layers, which reflect radiant heat while permitting the passage of visible light. These fine layers also reduce UV light (which is harmful to furniture, drapes, etc.) by up to 84%.
Energy Efficient Insulation
EcoBatt Thermal Acoustical Insulation is made from rapidly renewable organic materials instead of oil based chemicals for greater sustainability - up to 70% less energy intensive than traditional binders.
Exterior Vapor Barrier
The exterior of the home is wrapped with a vapor barrier constructed of high density polyethylene fibers allowing water vapor to pass through but not water. All exterior house penetration is also sealed allowing for a tighter envelope of construction.
Gas Heat
Natural gas is up to 97% efficient and emits up to 40% less carbon than a heat pump, and reduces nitrous oxide emissions by up to 55% and all but eliminates sulfur oxide emissions (per community).
